Cookie & Storage Technology Policy

Version: 2026-08 · Last updated: 24 August 2026

1. Overview

This policy explains how Aveniqra uses cookies, local storage, scripts and similar storage or access technologies on its website and application. The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations can apply when information is stored on or accessed from a user’s device, and the UK GDPR may also apply where personal data is involved. This policy should be read with the Privacy Policy.

2. Strictly necessary technologies

We may use technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user or to provide security, authentication, session continuity, fraud prevention, load balancing and comparable core functionality. Where an applicable legal exception permits their use without consent, we use them only for the exempt purpose and do not repurpose them for advertising or optional analytics.

3. Authentication and security

Our authentication provider, Clerk, may use cookies or similar technologies required to sign users in, maintain secure sessions and prevent abuse. Security and authentication technologies are not used by Aveniqra as behavioural-advertising trackers. Blocking them may prevent sign-in or other requested account functionality from working.

4. PostHog optional analytics

Where PostHog analytics is configured, Aveniqra’s application is designed not to initialise PostHog until the user selects “Allow analytics”. The consent choice is remembered locally so the site can respect that decision. The interface provides a Reject option alongside Allow. If analytics consent is denied, optional PostHog capture is kept off. If our implementation or provider configuration changes so that additional consent is required, we must update the controls before activating the affected technology.

5. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights

Aveniqra may use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for aggregate traffic and performance measurement. Vercel states that Web Analytics does not use cookies and uses anonymised data, and that Speed Insights is designed so its data points are not tied to an identifiable visitor or IP address. These tools can still involve browser scripts and network requests, so we periodically reassess their technical behaviour and legal classification rather than assuming that every analytics product is exempt merely because a vendor describes it as privacy-friendly.

6. Advertising and cross-site tracking

Aveniqra does not currently require behavioural advertising cookies or cross-site advertising trackers to use the Service. If advertising, retargeting, fingerprinting or comparable non-essential tracking is introduced, the privacy information and consent controls must be updated before activation wherever prior consent is required.

7. Third-party content and integrations

Some optional third-party content or integrations may store or access information on a device when a user intentionally enables or interacts with them. Aveniqra will assess whether the technology is necessary for the user-requested feature or requires consent. The third party’s own terms and privacy information may also apply.

8. Managing and withdrawing choices

Where consent is required, refusing optional technologies should be as easy as accepting them. Aveniqra’s analytics consent control stores the user’s choice in local storage. Users may also use browser controls to delete stored choices and cookies. We will provide a practical way to revisit optional consent settings where required. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal, but optional capture should stop for future activity after the withdrawal takes effect.

9. Technology inventory and changes

The exact technologies used can change as security, hosting and product functionality evolve. We aim to keep this policy aligned with the deployed implementation and material providers. A technology must not be described as strictly necessary merely because it is useful to Aveniqra. New non-essential storage or access technologies must be assessed before deployment and placed behind consent where applicable.

10. Contact

Questions about storage, cookies or tracking can be submitted through the Contact page. Data-protection complaints and rights requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
